Abstract EN

Knowledge plays an important role in organizational development and performance improvement.

The research is based on trying to answer the following two questions: Does the Ministry of Tourism have knowledge management mechanisms? What are obstacles that hinder the optimal application of knowledge management in the Ministry of Tourism? .

The research aims at the following: - Highlighting awareness of the Ministry of Tourism's employees about the term knowledge management.

- Assessment of the extent of availability of internal and external sources of knowledge in the Ministry of Tourism and the extent of reliance on implicit and explicit knowledge.

- Assessment of the extent of application of knowledge management in the Ministry of Tourism.

- Identifying obstacles of the knowledge management application in the Ministry of Tourism.

The research was applied to the Ministry of Tourism and is based on the descriptive- survey approach.

By designing the questionnaire, collecting and analyzing data and information, and then presenting the results.

Where the questionnaire forms were distributed to a sample from the administrative body of the Ministry of Tourism during the period from April to August of 2019 to contribute to answer the research questions and achieve its objectives.
