Abstract EN

This study aimed at determining the role of the educational supervisor in supporting novice newly hired teachers from the point of view of teachers.

The researcher conducted a descriptive study through distributing a questionnaire including seven fields which are: educational planning, personal skills, classroom management, instructional strategies, and assessment strategies, the sample consisted of (90) teachers of the Central District Directorates in Jordan.

The findings of the study revealed that the field of educational planning played the largest role in supporting teachers.

In the second rank appeared the role of classroom management, followed by the field of assessment strategies and the field of instructional strategies.

After that, the field of vocational and academic growth.

Finally, the field of personal skills had the least influence.

The statement which was placed in the first rank under the field of educational planning was” I can understand the concepts related to the planning of the lesson and its stages and elements", with an arithmetic average (3.90).

The statement which was placed in the first rank under the field of classroom management was "Helping me build a specification table for a good test", with an arithmetic average (4.2).

The statement which was placed in the first rank under the field of instructional strategies was "Teaching me different teaching strategies ", with an arithmetic average (3.98).

The statement which was placed in the first rank under the field of professional and academic growth was "Tracing my professional training needs”, with an arithmetic average (3.73).

The statement which was placed in the first rank under the field of personal skills was ""Guiding me to choose the most appropriate ways to communicate with parents and the community”, with an arithmetic average (3.64).

It was noted that there were statistically significant differences in the arithmetic mean.

The study of the role of educational supervisor in supporting novice teachers from the point of view of teachers according to the variable of gender, with the value of "T" (3.684) and a level of significance less than (0.005) and for the benefit of females teachers, were all statistically significant at (α = 0.05).
