The present study aims to identify the impact of the strategy of electronic mind mapping in the development of cognitive achievement and skill performance among students in the first grade in computer science.

To investigate, the researcher chose a partial experimental design، which is the design of equal groups with pre-test and posttest..

The sample of the study was (46) students from the first grade in Qunfudah governorate, (23) students for each group of research (experimental and control).

The tools of the study consisted of the cognitive achievement test consisting of (40) question of multiple choice type، right and wrong، and "Observation Card" to measure the practical performance of the skills included in the selected unit, which consists of 25 sub-skills divided into 5 main skills.

To test the validity of the hypotheses، the researcher used the T test for (Independent samples test)، the ETA and the Black Rate Ratio based on the SPSS statistical processing program.

The results of the study were as follows: There were statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05) between the average scores of the experimental group students (who studied using the electronic mind mapping strategy) and the scores of the control group students (who studied using the traditional method) Knowledge and skill note for the experimental group، which means that there is a significant positive impact of the strategy of electronic mind mapping in the development of cognitive achievement in the three levels (memory - understanding - application) and the whole، and the skill performance of students in the first grade intermediate in the computer Automated.

In light of the results of the study، the researcher recommends the need to encourage teachers to use the strategy of electronic mind mapping in the teaching and learning of all subjects in general, and the computer in particular، and emphasize their importance and their effective role in the development of cognitive skills and performance.
