Abstract EN

The study aimed to: (1) explore the relationship between sample's study scores in Difficulties of Emotional Regulation and and Suicidal Ideation.

(2) investigate the possibility of prediction of Suicidal Ideation from Difficulties of Emotional Regulation.

The sample of the study consisted of (120) Residents in Social Observation Houses, (93 Riyadh and 27 Dammam; Mage = 16, 59, SD = 1.10) years, The study used difficulties of emotional regulation scale (Gratz and Roemer, 2004); translated by the researcher, suicidal ideation scale (Rudd, 1989); translated by (Fayed,1998).The results indicated that: - Positive statistical significant correlation was found between sample's study scores in the dimensions of Difficulties of Emotional Regulation (nonaccept, goals, impulse and strategies) and Suicidal Ideation, positive statistically significant correlation was found between the total score of sample's study in Difficulties of Emotional Regulation and Suicidal Ideation - Difficulties of Emotional Regulation contributed in predicting Suicidal Ideation, The variable explain about (31.1%) of the variation in Suicidal Ideation.
