Abstract EN

The present study aims at identifying the place of electronic archive in the field of historical studies, as it is considered a historical memory, as it is available on documents that accompanied events and is considered an initial material for writing history, and it is indispensable for any historical researcher or student to find it a great importance for the completed studies.

Although it is often difficult to obtain it, the role of the national and international archives has been to adopt highly sophisticated scientific methods to preserve its national and global archives from damage and loss, while at the same time making it available to those who are informed and researchers in the framework of promoting scientific research.

In order to address the problem of the absence or damage of the document, the digitization policy of the archive has been adopted; that is, it is made available on the website for the archive role concerned.However, the Algerian researcher faces difficulty in getting acquainted with archive documents written as a result of making him resort to the digital electronic archive of some libraries and the role of French archives containing historical documents that help in writing Algeria's history
