Abstract EN

That the human suffering and the Yemeni people as a whole from the scourge of the Qat tree, we tried hard to write this research to present this social, humanitarian and economic problem affecting the individual and the Yemeni society as a whole, that about 75% of the population of Yemen is dealing with this malicious tree, which causes many diseases in the human body.In addition to its social harm in the disintegration of families and reluctance of children and abandon education because of the use of Qat, the Qat has many and many damages ,we have tried in our research to limit them to benefit researchers, students and those interested in studying the phenomenon of Qat abuse.

We also explained the economic harm to the individual through dealing daily for a long timeconsuming and loss of time from 6.4 hours without benefiting from it, economic damage to Yemen as a whole through the depletion of groundwater and rainwater and diverting it to grow Qat, which caused the consumption of this water and deprived other cash crops from benefiting from water.The problems of Qat are many and we have recommended the government and government agencies to do their duties and fight the cultivation of Qat tree and put The right solutions for it ..
