Abstract EN

The 9/11 attack, 2001, outraged a wave of hatred and aggression against Arab countries under the pretext that the perpetrators of these attacks are Arab muslims.

As a result,US media agencies and research centers began to work hard to promote for certain anti-Islam and anti-Arab ideology based on the idea that violence is an integral part of Islam and that this religion can never accept democracy.

It is , moreover a barrier to modernizing the region.

This ideology actually hides some American goals related to new world order, especially that the attack happened at the beginning of promoting for the idea of the American century after the fall of the former Soviet Union.

This attack has been employed in the context of the American hegemony which requires controlling the economic resources of the Arab countries, especially oil, to prevent other rival countries from reaching them.

The present paper focuses on analyzing the dynamics of this policy highlighting the fabrication of relating violence to Islam, by reviewing the past and present cultural interaction between the Muslim East and the Christian West, in addition to the mutual interests between the two parties.
