Abstract EN

This research interested to study the spatial distribution patterns of the hotels in Jeddah city, which occupies an advanced place in the hotel sector in the Kingdom.

The researcher divided Jeddah city into five zones according to a geographical model coincides with the general trends of urban growth of the city.

In order, to study hotels distribution based on this model, four major parameters were considered such as hotels number, date of opening, grade, and size (Accommodation capacity) of hotels, to identify the nature of spatial differences for each zone.

By studying the spatial distribution patterns in accordance with the spatial patterns model, the study found that the Central Business District (CBD) came first in terms of total number of hotels, and the time period from 1401-1415 H.

formed a real breakthrough for the spread of hotels in Jeddah.

Moreover, Huge hotels and large ones distributed away from the CBD, where small hotels, in terms of grade, intense in the CBD area.

The study indicated that the function of the place played an active role in the hotels distribution, the luxury fivestars hotels intense in the nice and transitional areas, while the CBD stay as a zone of small hotels location.

By analysis reaches of the study some parameters were established, to define an area called “The Central Hotels District”.
