This article discusses a very important methodological part, especially in the field-based research, in linguistics, where the researcher relies mainly on tools used in the field in order to obtain accurate objective scientific results, unlike theoretical or applied linguistic researches, which are mainly based on data Collection from sources and references, or they are relied on analysis of predefined blogs.

The first problematic that arises in such research is the extent of success in choosing the appropriate tool(s) for the research such as: Observation, interview, questionnaire, test and experimentation.

All of this requires a careful attention by researchers in controlling and determining the environment, the sample and the appropriate standards and conditions.

So, we will highlight the role of these tools, and the difficulties encountered by the researcher in implementing them, and we finally suggest some solutions to the problematics that may face the researcher.
