حازت الشواهد القرآنية عند المؤلفين القدامى اهتماما منقطع النظير كونها أدلة تجعل الكلام أكثر دقة وتوثيقا خاصة إذا تعلق الأمر بالقرآن الكريم فهو المنزل باللغة العربية و المصدر الأول من مصادر التشريع و من بين من وظف هذا المنهج في الاستدلال الجاحظ و التي تعكس حجم اهتمامه وتمكنه في هذا الباب وفي هذا الإطار يأتي هذا البحث لدراسة الشواهد القرآنية التي وظفها و منهجه في الاستدلال القرآني من خلال كتابه البيان و التبيين
