Abstract EN

This article deals with introducing and reading one of the few sources that we received about music in Afriqiyah and Andalusia in the thirteenth century AD/seventh century AH, and it is the manuscript “muta'at al-asma'a fi a'ilm al-sama'a” by Ahmed Attifashi al-Gafsi (died 651 AH/1253 AD).

This, by introducing him, presenting all the manuscript copies available to him, and then giving some reading of the musical issues that they contained: al-Sama'a and singing, poetry, musical instruments and dancing.
