multiform design for Yemeni beehive was made to meet the needs of apiculture in the Republic of Yemen.
This design is intended to male it easy for beekeepers to take it apart and reconstruct to form either an improved Yemeni native beehive, or Langstroth´s hive or standard and modified Kenya beehive.
The main type of this multiform design is the Yemeni improved native beehive, and by using its parts, the other two designs could be made.
The internal dimensions of Yemeni improved native beehive are 84.1 x 38.3 x 22.7 cm.
It holds 23 frames, each frame measures 40.5 x 20.2 cm.
This type of beehive was suggested to gradually replace the old types of Yemeni native conventional beehives.
Survival of bee colonies nesting and activity in each of the above mentioned beehives was satisfactory, suggesting that all of these types were suitable for beekeeping.
