Traditional industries are handicrafts that individuals or groups work by using available materials and in a limited field, in order to obtain many different advantages, especially if those industries are optimally exploited.

The aim of this study is to clarify the general situation experienced by Arab traditional industries, in addition to shedding light on the proposed options to activate its economic role, Using the descriptive analytical method.

One of the most important results of the study is that traditional industries have a developmental role in Arab industries by contributing to the national domestic product, providing jobs, and preserving social structure and cohesion.

However, it faces real challenges such as the lack of information among the responsible authorities, the lack of a clear national strategy, and the inability of the giant government entities to support that sector, to other obstacles and challenges.
