The study of the economic war drew more interest from researchers after the fall of the Soviet bloc and its allies.
Indeed, the transformations that the confrontations between states will undergo on the one hand, and the change in the foreign policy of the United States under Bill Clinton on the other hand, have expressed the need to understand international relations under another reading grid, that of the Geo-economics, a discipline in the making as Pascal Lorot believes.
Thus, economic war is proposed as an important variable of this new discipline that will allow the explanation of the offensive behavior of the States.
In this context, we have taken the initiative to grasp this thematic in order to try to know what content can we give to the concept of economic war and what will be its contribution in the explanation of events and decision-making, by States, in their international economic reports.

L'étude de la guerre économique a sollicité plus d'intérêt auprès des chercheurs après la chute du bloc soviétique et ses alliés.
En effet, les transformations que les affrontements entre Etats vont subir d'un côté, et le changement dans la politique étrangère des Etats-Unis sous Bill Clinton de l'autre côté, ont exprimé le besoin de comprendre les relations internationales sous une autre grille de lecture, celle de la Géoéconomie, une discipline en formation, comme l'estime Pascal Lorot.
Ainsi, la guerre économique est proposée comme une variable importante de cette nouvelle discipline qui permettra l'explication des comportements offensifs des Etats.
Dans ce contexte, nous avons pris l'initiative d'appréhender cette thématique afin d'essayer de savoir quel contenu peut-on donner à la notion de la guerre économique et quel sera son apport dans l'explication des évènements et la prise de décisions, par les Etats, dans leurs rapports économiques internationaux.
