Abstract EN

This article is an analytical study of the ideational and stylistic features in the Arabic novel entitled “Jamilah” authored by 'Abdul 'Aziz 'Abdulkarim Burhanddin.

The main objectives of the study were to determine the extents at which the novel fulfilled the requirements of style-using in story-writing, as a means of promoting positive cultures and values in Nigeria.

The historical method was used in writing the novelist's biography while the analytical method was adopted in the practical study of the ideational and stylistic features in the novel.

The major findings of the study were that there is evidence of the novelist's capability in the use of Arabic knowledge in novel-writing.

The researcher thereby recommended that elegant Arabic style should be further used in the creative writing to continue to serve as the plane of transformation and development.
