The contemporary Arab poet has perceived the value of history as an important source rich of experiences and human values.

He then, started exploring it looking for live experiences and renewed situations which, in his view, can be used to express his critic situation.

Then, he formulated all that according to a modem contemporary vision, which links the past to the present and look forward to the future, giving his poetry a rooted fertile and global aspect.

Thus, this study aims at addressing the phenomenon of employing events and historical characters in the poetry of Abdelkader Abeid, in an attempt to answer some questions related to the secret of the poet's interaction with the events and historical experiences, and what forms of appearance they take in his poetry, and the purpose of this use?.
