This research seeks to approach the concept of poetry in contemporary Algerian criticism by the view of critic "Abdallah LACHI", based on his book "Questions of Poetry - Research in the mechanism of poetic creativity" by exploring the mechanism of poetic creativity, assuch, I will try to define the references and mechanisms that control poetry as represented by the critic"Abdallah LACHI", based on questions of creativity, aspect and function related to the essence of poetry, then his perception of the concept of poetry.
