Writing stories for children requires careful and thorough selection of topics because of its contribution to their intellectual, social and cultural development.

In Algeria, more needs to be done; because of the late appearance of this narrative art in general, and since this gender was just a blend of cultures in its very first occurrence.

In order to shape the cultural awareness of Algerian children, the writer should focus on a number of points, including taking his hand to learn about different cultures around him, without compromising his national identity and religious beliefs.
