Among scholars of Quran who studied the phenomenon of ellipsis: “Badredine Mohamed Ben Abdallah Ezarkachi” and “Djalal Eddine Essouyouti”, trough their study of ellipsis causes and benefits; so our paper aims to study the phenomenon of ellipsis according to these scholars, trying to understand the objectives of ellipsis in Quran starting from the research of its causes and benefits, and tending to take advantage of pragmatic linguistics field, How did scholars of Quran deal with the phenomenon of ellipsis? What is the interaction between this vision and the pragmatic study? Key words: ellipsis – Pragmatics – Holy Quran.
