Abstract EN

Algeria is a strategic partner of the United States of America in counterterrorism since the 11th September 2001events.

Due to its long experience in dealing with the phenomenon, Algerian expertise is required in many countries, USA in particular.

On this basis, the two countries signed a number of bilateral and multilateral agreements, in order to cooperate in countering transnational terrorism.

By the end of 2012, the two parties agreed to promote the cooperation to a strategic partnership.

In the light of this partnership, the first strategic dialogue took part in the end of 2012.
