Abstract EN

This article shows how functional grammar models simulate discourse production and interpretation processes.

Natural language users have the ability to produce and interpret different types of discourses, and this ability consists of faculties that contribute to the both processes.

Functional grammar theory models each of these faculties, and these models interact with each other to provide information required to produce and interpret the discourse.

It concludes that discourse production and interpretation are both a model process to which contribute the natural language users models.

It provides language user with information that he needs in discourse production or interpretation.

This reflects the mental processes that happen during the two processes together proved by psychological research on the molded structure of the human brain.
