This article deals with a thematic of the story of the playentitled "The stingy" of Ahmed Rida Houhou wherewetry to engage in the elements of the structure of theatricaltext, whichconstitutes the creativeidentity of the literarytext, and isreflectedthrough the revelation of the dominant theme of the text, "the stinginesstheme" and thenchasing the obsession thatcontrols "Si Shaaban" whichis; love of power, ownership and money based on intellectual backgrounds such as ignorance, enclavement and male bourgeois domination in Algerian society.
