Abstract EN

The main objective of this paper is to clarify the all ethical dimensions which have dominantly been existed in Orwa ben el-Ward’s poesy, one of the best and famous poets called “al-Sa'alik” at the preislamic epoch, by analyzing and explicating a party of his poems with a social, humanistic and ethical content.

Where a several viewpoints with bad qualities such immorality and backwardness and those without good ethical qualities governed this preislamic age, but, moreover, their opinion on the poets “al-Sa’alik” denomination, inasmuch those people considered them just the example of rebellion, cruelty, pillage and oppression , also, totally forgetting that ethical aspect that is hidden in the poesy of some such poets , we mention here especially the father of the “Sa’alik” : “Orwa ben el-Ward”, because even if an oppressive judgment it is, it wouldn’t include at least this sublime personage with his ethics and humanity at that epoch.

Thus, we have especially chosen this station which allows us to dive in this personage that deserves research, study and interest according to a thematic vision that seems more suitable with our study and allows us to know the existence range of ethical values in the poesy of this poet, also, this study underline for us that ethics are not exclusive to a specific epoch or religion.
