This article aims to highlight a range of valuable ideas concerning the relation between good governance and the operation and development of the retirement system.
The principles of good governance have been applied theoretically to the retirement system in Algeria in order to build an effective strategy to increase the level of employment, to ensure the safety of old age income, to monitor the operation of the resources of the National Retirement Fund, and to try to improve it to achieve sustainable retirement systems.
On the practical side, We have analyzed the problem of the deficit of the retirement system in Algeria for the period between 1998 and 2016.
