This paper aims at showing the impact of foreign direct investment on Algeria's balance of payments during the period 1990-2016, in order to determine whether this improvement or deterioration in the Algerian balance of payments is due to the recovery or contraction in the volume of inflows from foreign direct investment or Other factors, through a measurable study to demonstrate that.

The fundamental result was that there was no relation to foreign direct investment (FDI) on the Algerian balance of payments situation, and that on the contrary, there was a statistically significant relationship between the balance of payments and the flow of foreign direct investment.
