Abstract EN

While our planet faces challenges of depleting natural resources, supported by the estimated global population explosion of 10 billion by 2050, new environmental economic opportunities have emerged, with a focus on the need to transform waste into recyclable material in manufacturing lines.

It is a question of breaking with the model of conventional economy which consists in extracting, manufacturing, consuming and disposing of residues in nature, and going towards a new concept entitled circular economy, which is based on the principle of recycling and reducing waste of resources.

Indeed, it would be wiser to reuse waste materials by households and manufacturers, rather than throwing them away or destroying them.

The circular economy gives a special place to waste and does not consider it as a problem to be solved but rather as a new resource ready for new use.

In fact, recycling is considered to be a source of direct and indirect activities and job creation and, above all, an important factor for sustainable development.
