Abstract EN

The aim of this research is to enlighten contemporaneous Arabic criticism thought via theoretical perspectives founded and applied by Ahmed Matloob in order to move the terminological studies from the lexical view to the encyclopedic one.

Matloob's approach is based on his long experience and rich knowledge about the Arabic heritage outputs, and endowed with contemporaneous terminology methods in order to unveil what he calls the terminological acculturation.

Matloob's terminological studies constitute a qualitative contribution to the contemporaneous Arabic criticism and its interactive dynamism with different criticism approaches.

They may be followed by debates and reviews that will enrich criticism by the innovation of theoretical proposals and tendencies and procedural practices.

It is also important to mention that the acculturation with the occidental theories requires a deep exploration, a high understanding of their notions, and terms and an awareness of their backgrounds which constitute a basis on which they draw their epistemological identity.
