Abstract EN

This paper deals with the cognitive transformations that characterized the evolution of linguistic concepts in grammatical semantics.

We distinguish, at first, the generative transformational theory, influenced by Cartesian philosophy and attests that language is a set of logical operations whose mechanisms are independent of the cognitive social concept.

The evolution was influenced after that by the cognitive linguistics movement, developed by many researchers such as J.J Katz, J.Fodor, R.Langacker, G.Fouconnais, L.Talmy and M.Johnson with G.Lackoff.

Cognitive linguistics has related semantic linguistic operations to the communicative social conception of the language, as well as to the conceptual metaphors of the latter.

Through this research, we will try to answer the following questions: How have we moved from logical structure to conceptual structure in generative grammar? Does generative transformational theory cover all the natural grammars ?.
