Abstract EN

The phenomenon of death has occupied a large part of human mind.

In this regard, many ideas have emerged in philosophy, sociology, and psychology.

Many thinkers believe that death is in conflict with life and is synonymous with nonexistence.

But in religious thoughts, death is not the end of life, but another stage in which man steps.

Younis Al-busaidi is one of those poets who viewed death from a philosophical and introspective perspective.

No phenomena as death has occupied Al-busaidi’s mind.

This is because he know that death is not the final stage of life, is not able to set a limit for human existence.

He believes that death is a transition from one stage to another.

Death is Al-busaidi’s greatest concern so that he interacts with it based on his religion views.

For this reason, the idea of death in the eyes of Al-Busa'idi is considered one of his important poetic axes.

The present study seeks to explore and explain death in Al-Busa'idi’s poetry via a descriptive-analytical method and with a focus on poetry collection “Like Burning Frankincense”.

The research results revealed that the poet believes that death and life are two sides of a coin and identical in nature.

He sees the implications of freedom in death, life in absurdity, and death in life.

The poet also has a negative attitude towards life.
