This study aims to clarify the relationship between miserliness and bragging that Al-Jahiz had made clear several times in the book "Al-Bukhala", by naming her by her name at times or by displaying her image without naming it at other times.

We have chosen an anecdote that represents the lamentable miser in one for his images, and we based on the analysis of the story on some data of rhetoric, grammar, argumentation, narration science, stylistics, discourse analysis, and others, and they cooperate with each other in an attempt to explore how the text is constructed and the characteristics of its expression, relationships and aesthetics in it.
