The rhetorical picture was and still is admired by old critics and speakers, and the term image is relatively recent as critics began to call this term the last of the nineteenth century and the beginnings of the twentieth century.

On it, the attitudes of critics differed in its definition and the definition of its limit, so it had many names, including: the graphic image, the artistic image, and the literary image, but the term search on the rhetorical picture is more accurate, comprehensive and clear, so the research found most of the critics - especially the old ones - had termed the name of the image Rhetoric.
