Abstract EN

This brief study aims at defining a small and important manuscript which has dealt with a well-known scientist in Algeria during the tenth century of the Hidjria.

This was: Abou El Abbes Ahmed El Maqqari Etilimsani.

The importance of this manuscript lies on the fact that it was produced by Ahmed Ibn Shahin El Kobrosi who had a strict relationship with El Maqqari while he was in Damascus.

So, it’s so helpful to us to define and illustrate El Maqqari through one of his contemporary writers.

Besides, the importance of such a manuscript is seen through the amount of historical information it presents on about the Othmani era.

It has also contained a set of poems stated by El Maqqari or on about him.

This represented indeed the Arabic poetry in that period of time by reference to subjects, language and styles.Hence, I did decide to undertake this study so as to realize this manuscript briefly on purpose to be of a great historical and literary profit.
