These crimes are considered war crimes punishable by law and are not subject to statute of limitations.

There are many examples.

The period of resistance witnessed the massacre of the Dhahra in 1845, Laghouat 1852 The twentieth century witnessed the worst massacres of 8 May 1945 and the massacres committed during the revolution.

We treat in this article one of the most prominent massacres committed by the French army in the occupation of Laghouat on 4 December 1852 and that the fall of two thirds of the population, or about 2500 martyrs by killing various weapons and even by burning, and the city has been evacuated from all its inhabitants and turned into a center Military, as one of the French officers described what happened in the city as a true holocaust with the full meaning of the word.
