Abstract EN

This study aimed at identifying the academic problems faced by the students of Preparatory Year at the University of Najran from their own perspective.

A questionnaire of (74) items was conducted on a sample consisted of (198) male students and (69) female students from the first and second level.

The data processed using the means, the standard deviations, T-test, and the ranking.

The results showed that students are facing academic problems ranked between medium and high.

A lack of statistically significant differences in academic problems faced by the students due to sex variable in most themes was found, except the theme of tests and courses for the benefit of female students, and in faculty members for the benefit of male students.

In addition, a lack of statistically significant differences in studying level variable was found, in most themes except the theme of tests and courses, and in teaching methods for the benefit of the second level.

The study concluded a set of proposals and recommendations.
