Abstract EN

The current study focuses on the personal and educational life and the scientific contributions of one of the most prominent scholars and historians of the Islamic medieval history of Yemen.

Specifically, the study gives a detailed account of the autobiography of Professor Daghfoos, a Tunisian scholar who has received his earlier education in Tunis and higher studies at France.

Besides, the study addresses his outstanding efforts to the heritage of Yemen as a historian, researcher and specialist who investigated and published thorough research on different topics and aspects.

In addition, the study sheds a light on his efforts as a supervisor on advising and encouraging postgraduate students to conduct research related to the Islamic medieval history of Yemen.

This thing resulted in accomplishing many pertinent theses under his supervision.

Finally, Professor Daghfoos has participated in many scientific activities.

For example, he has participated in a number of international forums and conferences in and outside the Arab World, and his unique research model, in the study of the Islamic medieval history of Yemen, is highlighted and illustrated in the study.
