Abstract EN

Through this research, we try to highlight the phenomenon of mixing poetic meters in the poem "Depths" by Muhammad al-Saleh Bawiyah, as a new phenomenon in the entity of the classical poem in Algeria before the independence, showing the philosophy of its use and the extent of its contribution to the activation of poetic connotations as well as to the activation of the rhythmic melody of the poetic text.

The poet Mohamed Saleh Bawiyah took advantage of this prosodic characteristic to discriminate between three different stages in the history of Algeria from the beginning of French colonial "di structuralism" “Colonialism” to the dawn of independence, and the differences that followed in terms of facts, feelings and psychological states, including tension and calm, anger and pleasure.
