Abstract EN

This study deals with the component of the narrative function in the novel "Henna shrub and Moon" by the novelist Ahmad Attawfiq.

I opened it with a preface, in which I defined the narrative function.

I divided it into six elements.

In the first element i dealt with the narration in the studied corpus and in the second one I dealt with dialogue.

I dealt with the letter in the third element and with the story and myth in the fourth.

In the fifth I dealt with Quran and poetry and the sixth I dealt with the Moroccan Dialect, Amazigh and Spanish.

I closed the study by coming out to a compound conclusion that the author has employed rhetorical formulas and different literary and expressive genres.

For this, his work was characterized by openness, gained the expected credibility.

It was given some kind of realism, shifted from the narrow local level to the broader field of humanity and universality.

And It was marked with an excellent aspect of aesthetics and uniqueness, making it a new work in the form and content…
