Abstract EN
This study investigates some words of nature in Soqotri, one of the unwritten Modern South Arabian Languages.
It traces the origin of eighteen Soqotri words of nature and compares them with the same words in the other Semitic languages such as northern Arabic, Shehri, South Arabian languages, Hebrew, Amharic, Syriac and Aramaic.
The study revealed that all these Soqotri words of nature are found in almost all these Semitic languages
