Abstract EN

This study aims at presenting an analytical and critical investigation of the concept of poetic ego through exploring its meaning from the perspective of the poet Jasem Al Saheeh.

It investigates the manifestation of the ego in his poetry.

It highlights the most common patterns of that ego in his published poetic works.

It has been found that the revealing ego is the most common ego in his poetry then come the rebellious ego, the migratory ego, the arrogant ego, the melancholic ego and the pessimistic ego.

The researcher adopted the descriptive analytical approach and some other critical approaches.
