The beginning of the year 2020, has seen great changes on the world economy, due to the outbreak of the Covid 19 pandemic, this has prompted most countries, developed and developing, to take a set of urgent precautions to combat this pandemic.

This study aim to show the impact of this pandemic on the world economy in general, and on employment in particular.

This study concluded that economic activity has been strongly affected by this pandemic, which has affected and will significantly affect employment, as more than 1.25 billion jobs are at risk.

This study recommends the need to define a set of precautions that would stimulate economic activity on the one hand, and protect employment on the other.
