The new Corona virus (covid-19) crisis revealed a clear defect in the structure of the national economy based on oil rents, and the parallel economy has opened the curtain, to emerge broad groups of society that do not benefit from social insurance, which provides insurance in the event of unemployment, and the virus has exposed the fragility of a hidden sector in society In which daily work is a source of livelihood for millions, and this research paper focused on assessing the economic and social impacts of the Corona virus in Algeria, in addition to knowing the most important measures that must be followed to reduce the effects of the economic and social epidemic on Algerian society.

The following are some of the economic measures Algeria should take to counter the Corona virus: - Reviewing the legislative system for hydrocarbons and investments, by setting new incentives for foreign capital.
