Abstract EN

This study aims to present the medicine industry in Algeria through explaining its role in the medicine security achievement, that' s why it is considered as a strategic choice thanks to its economic importance and its relationship with the medical care of the human being.

This objective is a national claim and a souverain necessity that takes more importance under the political development and the global international changes especially in the circumstances of the actual Covid 19 virus spread.

We could explain the reality of the national medicine industry on both local and international scale and the different challenges facing medicine security in Algeria.

However, the Corona virus pandemic demonstrated that the huge development in this field is not yet able to face the increasing demand.

this situation imposes us to encourage the local medicine industry so as to make it competition and to produce all kinds of medicine especially the basic ones necessary to develop a strong health system.
