Sustainable development, specially environmental sustainability, is on the top priorities of the global community in recent years, and the world's eyes have shifted towards how to spread environmental awareness across societies, which necessitates the use of communication media characterized by widespread and interactivity as tools for environmental communication alongside traditional media of communication.

Social media in support of sustainable environmental development by applying the "" live green "initiative The study employed both survey methodology and content analysis on an analytical sample of 161 post of the page and 200 of the page followers.
