The Role of Mobile Journalism in raising the awareness among the Saudi Public on the Developments of COVID -19 Pandemic Crisis
A Field Study

The present study aims at monitoring the role of mobile journalism in raising the awareness among the Saudi public on the developments of COVID-19 pandemic crisis by identifying to which extent the Saudi public use mobile journalism as well as the patterns.

Also, the Study investigates the motives of using mobile journalism, the forms of mobile journalism, and the most important crisis-related themes that the public are keen to follow through mobile journalism.

Moreover, the impact of the various rates of using and relying on mobile journalism on their level of awareness of this pandemic.

All this is attempted through a field study applied to a sample of the Saudi public consisting of 400 individuals, during the period of July 15-30, 2020, and the researcher adopted the methodology of survey and studying interrelationships.

The study found that there is a high rate of Saudi public dependence on mobile journalism to follow up Coronavirus pandemic.

Social media applications were at the top of the types of mobile journalism that the Saudi public sample follow.
