The development of tourism and its sustainability are considered to be a cutting-edge multidirectional educational and leisure industry closely linked to all economic and social activities, directly or indirectly, which must be preserved and renewed in order to enable future generations to respond to their needs.

However, in order to make this heritage a front for the development of sustainable tourism, it is necessary to try to find a balance between the protection of this environment and the development of sustainable tourism because the latter has become an approach and a method on which is the basis of many major tourism projects, which is the point of convergence between the needs of visitors and the region that welcomes them.

This leads to the protection and support of future development opportunities, so that all resources are managed to meet economic, social and spiritual needs.

The study aims to achieve the following objectives : - Emphasize the importance of sustainable tourism development in achieving economic and social development.

- Emphasize the importance of the environmental impact of tourism projects with regard to the principles of sustainable development.

- Sustainable tourism projects as a locomotive to achieve sustainable tourism development.
