Abstract EN

This study aims to measure the effect of monetary growth on some economic variables and to know the effectiveness of monetary policy instruments in adjusting the monetary mass.

This study concluded that the main reason for the monetary expansion in Algeria is the accumulation of foreign exchange reserves by 61%.

This resulted in excess liquidity.

Through direct and indirect monetary policy instruments, the monetary authorities in Algeria managed to control the growth of money supply during most of the study period.
