The method of typology starts connected to the researches which tried to study the Bible because the typology was seen as one of the methods of interpretation and afterwards many researchers knew its value has been achieved in different fields of other human sciences like sociology, psychology and literary criticism.

Although we find there is substantial different between the Bible and the Holy Quran, we notice that the method is used in some of the Quranic studies.

The study aims to displaying the method of typology and tries to discuss the applications in the Quranic studies through four researches; The first; the origin of the typological method and its development The second; the applications of the method of typology in the Quranic studies.

The third; the critical notes related to typological studies about the Holy Quran.

The fourth; similar contexts instead of the method of typology.
