The study aimed at identifying the level of emotional intelligence and its relationship to mental health, and identifying whether the emotional intelligence differs according to the type (men- women) among a sample of Egyptians residing in Tabaijal governorate in Al- Jouf, the basic study sample is 70 divided 35 from Women, 35 men in the age group (30- 46) years from the Egyptians residing in Tabarjal Governorate, Al- Jouf.

The curriculum was use The comparative, descriptive, descriptive, and the researcher used the mental health scale prepared by Abdel- Muttalib Al- Qaraiti and Abdel Aziz Al- Shas (1992), the emotional intelligence scale prepared by Abdul Hadi Al- Sayed, Farouk Al- Sayed Othman (2002), and composed of 58 paragraphs, distributed in five areas: Emotion management, the field of sympathy, the field of emotion regulation, the field of emotional knowledge, the field of social communication.

The study hypotheses were a relationship It is a statistically significant correlation between emotional intelligence and mental health among a sample of Egyptians (men and women) residing in Tabarjal governorate in AL- JOUF, and the presence of statistically significant differences between the averages of emotional intelligence scores for the study sample, as well as the presence of statistically significant differences between the averages of emotional intelligence scores among the sample individuals, and indicated The results of the study indicated that there is a significant correlation between emotional intelligence and mental health among a sample of men, Women are from Egyptians residing in Tabaijal governorate in AL- JOUF, and the vast majority of respondents have a highly emotional intelligence level, and there are a few members of the sample who have an emotional intelligence level of a moderate degree and very few have a low emotional intelligence level, they have a problem in psychological and social compatibility, as they There were fundamental differences between men and women in the components of emotional intelligence, after which sympathy and social communication were in favor of women.
