Abstract EN

This study aims to explore cohesive devices that applied by Salah Abul-Saboor into formation his poem "ancient knight's dreams", and to illustrate these devices impact on receipt of text meaning, and the poem textuality, that hang different structures of the text related, and hold the text parts in complementary relationship state.

The study, to achieve its aims, handled, basically, the poem title, which is considered the first threshold, and analyzed the micro-structure of the poetic text.

The study revealed the complementary relationship between the text and the title of the poem, as the poem consists of two texts, one, which is the title, is restricted, brief and intensive one, and the other, which is the text, is long.
