Abstract EN

This research is concerned with studies of what confused scholars in the interpreting of the Almighty's saying: "And other gains (there are) which aren't within your power, but which God has compassed".

It aims to study the enigmatic verse in detail including mentioning the narrations of the predecessors may God be pleased with them - and the disagreement between the interpreters.

The researcher followed the inductive analytical approach.

The research concluded with a number of results the most important of which are: It is not at all surprising that the understanding of some verses of the Noble Qur'an constitutes, or conceals its subtleties and meanings for some of the Companions - may God be pleased with them and their satisfaction - And on those who are after them as a matter of priority.

And that the Almighty's saying: "And other gains (there are) which aren't within your power, but which God has compassed" which confused his understanding of the righteous predecessors - may God be pleased with them -.

And that the predecessors - may God have mercy on them - differed in defining the other town mentioned in the noble verse on four sayings.

And that the most correct saying - God knows best - in the other town mentioned in the verse is that it is the land of Persia, the Romans and what Muslims conquer from the countries until the Hour of Resurrection.
